This Puff Adder was lying just in the middle of the parking area at our shop.
We could barely see it lying there.
This is quite a closeup shot.

Fortunately not.
We have some snake catchers over here and they came to pick it up and took it to the Chobe National park.
Tell me you have a good zoom lens and you weren't that close!

And puff adders are really poisonous, aren`t they? Sometimes I am happy I do NOT live in Africa.
It looks so beautiful against the brown earth. One more snake escapes being killed, thanks to some caring people!

We saw one last year on a night drive in South Luangwa from the safety of a high clearance safari vehicle!
