After we departed from Kasane on the way to Selinda in the Selinda Reserve,
We had to stop over at Chobe airstrip for 2 hours awaiting another plane to hop us to Selinda 5 minutes away by air.
The wind was howling and brought the best out of every pilot in exercising their crosswind landings to the utmost.
One of the guides also waiting for the same plane, casually mentioned that there were a few lions just around the corner sleeping under a tree, and would we like to have a look at them while passing the time.
Got into the Landrover and they were less than 100 metres away from us.
The best of all, they were downwind from us but fortunately well fed.
What an experience!!!
